The local growing season runs April through October, starting with cold weather crops like Hadley Asparagus, Spinach, Lettuce, and Radishes. June is Strawberry Month featuring juicy sweet red sun-ripened strawberries right through the Fourth of July.
Blueberries, Summer squash, Cucumbers, and Pickling Cukes are next, followed by delicious locally grown Sweet Corn, followed by Red Ripe Tomatoes, Peppers, Eggplant, Peaches, and Raspberries. Fall brings an intriguing array of Winter Squashes – Butternut, Acorn, Buttercup, and Hubbard, endless varieties of Apples from Local Orchards and Fresh Sweet Cider.
